I love opera. I love cinema. I love them both. Yesterday, at Bucharest National Opera a great opportunity to see how opera music and 21st century technology made possible a live event from Royal Opera House - Covent Garden London.
Faust - with our amazing soprano Angela Gheorghiu. She welcomed us with her speech in English and partially in Romanian, as this is a premiere for the Romanian public. Excellence, great voices, direction, atmosphere.
Last year, in the same period of the year I was in London, very close to the Opera. In 2011, had the chance to see such a transmission. How about a 2 in 1, next year? Already on my wish list !

Passion for brands 1 - NIKE
My passion for brands dates back in '95 when I discovered marketing. Besides, as a consumer, I choose brands quite frequently. Among others, I love shoes... is normal, (almost) all women love shoes. I like sports, so I love sport shoes. Me specifically, Nike shoes, real investments some of them, even more expensive than many posh business shoes.
Nike stands for "authentic athletic performance", meaning that everybody who has a body can be an athlete. How athletic I am after many years in the gym is difficult to say. Nevertheless, I feel connected to authenticity" and "performance", as two of my values.
We connect with some brands for the same reasons we connect with some people. It is about common values that brings us together. About Nike and some other global and local brands on:

People, Places, Paradise
One of the greatest places I recently visited is undoubtedly Villa Rotschield. Located in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, mid way between Nice and Monaco, this unique place is certainly the materialization of the word “Paradise”.
A few hours spent in that place represented a 5-sense experience, all elements concurring to a memorable day.
The Rennaisance Palazzo constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, reflects the vision of the owner – Ephrussi de Rotschield, her fine taste, passion for travel, adventure and beauty. (http://www.villa-ephrussi.com/en/ephrussi/).
After admiring the Palazzo, felt the fresh air in the wonderful gardens, heard the opera music, a few words about the taste of the place. While enjoying the marvelous Fragonard salad, on the terrace with a view towards the sea, I realized I might have done some great things lately to deserve such a journey in Paradise.

Amorino - Gustul sublim al vacantei
Despre relatia mea cu inghetata as putea vorbi ore in sir.
Totul natural, bio, adevarat creind o placere totala a simturilor.
Bravo Monsieur Negresco ! Merci beaucoup !

Re-born. A brand new ME
I spent the first 10 days of May in one of the most wonderful places on earth. Turkey. A different Turkey. Nothing to do with all-inclusive seaside resorts and grand bazaar. Turkey means also history, geography, poetry, cradle of civilizations.
The main reason for going there is : Rumi, the great philosopher, prophet, poet who enter into my life on May 3rd, 2010, when I clicked on "A year with Rumi" online course. During 365 days I received by email some his poems written 8 centuries ago. Most of them represented answers to my questions related to life and love. On May 3rd, 2011, I visited his homeplace, Konya the place where he lived and died on December 17th, 1273.
Some other great places that worth mentioning were Capadocia, Pamukale, Hierapolis, Efes. History. Energy. Greatness.
The diversity of the group I travel with, worth some comments. With the beauty of my thoughts, I attracted people from all continents, each of them mirroring some of my passions and traits.
The Americans mirrored my pragmatic approach, the South Africans - my passion for reading and writing, the Italians - my passion for beauty and art, the Chinese guy made me understand how important is to travel light thru life (he carried all his luggage in a plastic bag), my dearest friends from Singapore represent one of my few examples of a balanced, caring, happy family, with whom I share my interests for Budhism and Rumi. With such people, no wonder that time passed very fast and I felt fantastic.
The next day after my return a life threatening situation brought me to the surgery room of an important hospital in Romania. Surgery. Anestesia. Dreams. Rose gardens from Rumi's poems.
Then, a brand new day and a brand new ME was borned. In the last week, I feel that now everything is possible. I feel grateful and happy to be alive. Life is my oyster !

Inspired
In the last year I had the chance to meet and find out about great people on the planet. I truly admit is a real privilege to know them and to understand what stands behind their personality and success. Irrespective of the area of knowledge they master, they all are focused on offering positive support to people, influence and inspire them. I am sure that my list will continue to grow in the next years as I travel and read a lot. Due to my recent love called Kindle (strongly connected with my credit card :), I have the chance to discover enough inspiration in the universe in the last weeks.
My nominees for today are:
1. Gerard O'Donovan - a great person and coach, both spiritual and pragmatic
2. Aina Egeberg - the most intelligent and beautiful (blond) woman I ever met
3. Bart Sayle - great trainer, coach and especially public speaker (I realized I need more training :)
4. Rumi - despite his age :), he is teaching me daily the lesson of love (via great poems)
5. Tony Robbins - the most energetic, inspirational and authentic man I ever seen (not meet yet, but plan to :)
6. Radu Beligan - whom I strongly admire for talent, intelligence and desire to be with us till the end of time.
I recently started a life journey for which I prepared many years. Apart from the people who constantly support me, I sincerely admire my role models. These kind people inspire me in becoming a more authentic, better and limitless person day by day. I challenge you to look for authentic models around you to inspire you in your becoming.

Coffee, tea, about me
I used to be one of the heaviest coffee drinkers on earth. Coffee was in my veins in all possible forms: Turkish, Greek coffees, filter, cappucino, espresso, latte, stronger or light. I used to love coffee and associate it mostly with energy and mental focus.
In the last couple of years, I finally realized that apart from effectiveness, efficiency, target and budget there is life out there. Looking at your life 360 degrees is a powerful exercise for which you need courage. Once you do it, you understand the meaning of the word "balance" and re-consider all life aspects. And then life changes. Harmony is the natural consequence. Habits are changing: more tea instead of coffee, more pilates, yoga and dance than combat force, more positive people around you.
Preparing a cup of tea and using a Japanese pot makes me feel a totally different woman. Tea is about harmony, relaxation, balance and zen. "Carturesti" and "Green Tea" are two of my favourite tea places. Having a "Sunday Morning" and an "Apple strudel with pistachio" teas are wonderful gifts for the week end.
Getting into the zen zone is the first step to creativity and great ideas for life. Just be !

Power of Intentionality
A few months ago, I discovered a word that I immediately included in my daily vocabulary : "Intentionality".
Intentionality is much more than simple "intention". It is "intention" strongly supported by positive emotion, energy and action.
Once you have strong intentionality to make a shift in your life, every cell in your body is activated and you feel tracted in the direction you wanna go. It happens to me like this very frequently, as I am determined to move forward in many areas of my life.
A person with strong intentionality uses words such as "I can", I will", "absolutely", has a positive attitude and inspires people around. He/she has a strong vision about life and is action driven, each and every moment.
We all have intentions, and the most common is the New Year Resolution: "This year I will loose some weight and I will go to the gym 3 times a week". How many people did actually stick to the promise? Just a few.
When you have strong intentionality about making significant changes in your life, you are able to make it happen. To walk the talk becomes a natural process.
For 2011, I have a strong intentionality as follows:
1. Be Myself every day, every moment
2. Be Happy in all aspects of my life
3. Have a positive influence on people and support them to be themselves and be happy !
